WXTU celebrated their 25th Anniversary with another great show.
Big & Rich, Phil Vassar, and others were back in town to kick it up once again.
Unfortunately, my vantage point wasn't the best for getting good shots but if you've ever seen a Big & Rich performance, you get the idea.

What an awesome show.
America's premiere Pink Floyd tribute band returned to our area to perform more classic favorites.
Three albums were performed in their entirety: "Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here", and "Animals" and to top it off, "Echoes" as an encore.
This show will be very difficult to top when they return for the annual Thanksgiving show.

Once again the gang converged at the beautiful "Spinning W" Ranch for an evening of fun, friendship, and great dancing.

Savanna was thrilled to dress up as, and meet her favorite character, "Tinkerbell".

Time sure does fly. I've been waiting a year to do this again, and it couldn't have come soon enough.
I can't believe another year has come and gone, but my frozen fingers told me it was so.
The costumes continue to blow me away.
I so love photographing these revelers and their good time had by all, and hope it shows in the results.

Our lovely Barmaid, Gail was surprised with a cake and birthday dance of her own.

A First! A record was set tonight, which will most likely stand for a looong time, as these five, lovely ladies, burned up the floor, and myself, with a simultaneous birthday dance. I just hope I was able to get them all.

We celebrated 2008 with another year-end blast by joining Donna & Ron at the beautiful Stardust Ballroom in Bellmawr, NJ. I didn't take very many shots as I was in dance mode most of the night. Hopefully what I did manage to, will please.

On November 12, 2008, the dance community suffered a most terrible loss with the untimely passing of "The Master", Arte Phillips.

Always the ultimate showman, without his really trying to be, and with his constant flair for animation, style, and down to earth fun on the dance floor, Arte lately became one of my favorite subjects. Not only did he provide wonderful visuals during his normal course of dancing, but to my delight, when he saw my camera, he would "turn it on" just a little more for me. Since I have never had the opportunity to photograph Arte during a birthday dance or such, I have been taking shots of him whenever he is in attendance, in hopes of building a portfolio of images of him, and planning to surprise him with an album of his own sometime soon. Sadly, it will remain an unfinished work. Here, I have collected some of my more favorite images of Arte, in which I feel I captured that spirit within him, as well as the spirit he projected onto others. My wish is for all who view these images to remember the man, and if you were there, the moment, that the memory of Arte, as he was, may live for as long as we all.

If ever there was someone who seemed perpetually energenic, full of life, and who always had an uplifting word when he sensed you needed it, it was Arte. He will be deeply missed, but our loss is Heaven's gain, as I am sure he is already teaching the angels to dance. Rest in Peace Sir.

2007 was such a blast that we had to make a return visit to the beautiful Bermuda Islands to have another go at it. Many of the same gang were in attendance along with a few new faces as well as a few surprise passengers.

Bobby put on a most enjoyable show.
The crowd was a little disapointed though with the relatively short duration of one hour and no encore.

The weather was perfect this year, and the sky conditions, while not perfect were pretty good.
No sunburn for me this time either. All in all, a good day.

A good time was had by all, as we once again found a reason to dance the night away at the beautiful "Spinnng W" Ranch.
I labeled this one "2008" because I have a feeling it's not going to be the last.

If you've never visited 2 street for the parade after the parade, you've been missing out. It was an extremely cold night, but the warm spirits of the revelers prevailed and I had a blast capturing their images. Atlantic City's 5th annual air show was attended by some 600,000 spectators. It was a beautiful day for the beach but sky conditions could have been better.

The annual Mummers Parade was delayed due to inclement weather, but the spirits of the marchers and their fans endured.
